Develop Your Coaching Practice Through Supervision

Coaching supervision provides a reflective space to step back from your coaching work, explore your client relationships, and consider what may be influencing you and your practice.

Together, we look at your coaching from different perspectives – exploring challenges, ethical dilemmas, client dynamics, your own responses and patterns, and your ongoing personal and professional development. Supervision also provides space to consider your wellbeing, resilience and sustainability as a coach.

At its heart, supervision is about seeing more. By slowing down and looking more closely at what happens within our coaching relationships, we can develop greater awareness of who we are in the coaching space and the beliefs, experiences and perspectives that influence how we think, respond and work.

Reflective practice, co-visioning, thought partnering and co-creating are all part of this process, helping you uncover the lenses through which you view yourself, your clients and your coaching relationships.

Coaching Supervision with Anna

As your coaching supervision partner, I provide a supportive and reflective space where we can explore your coaching practice together.

An important part of supervision is developing your ability to notice yourself in your coaching work. This might include exploring your beliefs, patterns, biases, assumptions, stories, reactions and emotions, and considering how these may be influencing the way you work with your clients.

Supervision also provides a place to work through ethical questions, challenging client situations and aspects of your practice where you may feel uncertain or stuck, while developing new perspectives and deepening your understanding of yourself as a coach.

I am passionate about supporting coaches to develop thoughtful, ethical and effective coaching practice with greater awareness, perspective and presence.

Coaching Supervision or Mentor Coaching?

While there is some overlap, coaching supervision and mentor coaching have different purposes.

Mentor coaching focuses specifically on the development and demonstration of your coaching competencies, particularly in relation to ICF credentialing and renewal.

Coaching supervision takes a broader view of you and your coaching practice. It provides space to reflect on your client work, relationships, ethical and professional issues, your own responses and patterns, and the wider systems within which you coach.

Benefits of Coaching Supervision

Coaching supervision can provide:

  • A reflective space to learn and grow from your coaching work
  • Greater self-awareness, including your impact, patterns and blind spots
  • New perspectives on challenging clients, relationships and coaching situations
  • Space to explore ethical questions and maintain the quality and integrity of your practice
  • Greater awareness of the wider systems and organisational dynamics influencing your coaching
  • Support for your confidence, presence, wellbeing and sustainability as a coach.

Group Coaching Supervision

Group supervision offers coaches the opportunity to work together in a small, consistent and trusted group, creating a reflective space to explore their coaching practice alongside others.

The group provides an opportunity to bring coaching challenges, client relationships, ethical questions and successes into a shared reflective space. Together, we explore different perspectives, the lenses through which we see our coaching work, and what may be influencing our ways of thinking, responding and being as a coach.

A key part of group supervision is co-creating self-awareness and expanded thinking. Learning through the experiences, reflections and perspectives of other coaches can help you see more – not only about the situations you bring to supervision, but also about yourself and your coaching practice.

Groups include:

  • 4–6 coaches
  • A 60-minute introductory and contracting meeting before supervision begins
  • 4 x 90-minute group supervision sessions over 12 months

Investment: $400 per coach for the year

The introductory and contracting meeting is included in the program fee. All prices include GST.
